Combining Pilates principles to build core strength with the strength, toning and grace of ballet conditioning, our Barre Pilates classes have strong fluid movements to build toned, long and lean muscles in a low impact environment. Using the ballet barre and small pilates props.
Our favourite challenging strength & ballet conditioning, pilates & yoga inspired moves to high energy tunes, our Dynamic Barre class focuses on strength, toning and challenge with the benefit of the stretch and lengthening of yoga. Using the ballet barre and small pilates props.
There are 3 core styles of Reformer Pilates classes at ASH, all held on our beautiful Allegro 2 reformer beds in small groups (maximum of 6 clients per class). Booking are essential for all reformer classes.
Focusing on traditional Pilates principles to build core strength as well as work the entire body, Reformer Align is a strong workout within a structured, monitored environment. Alignment and core strength focused to build the foundations of a strong and stable body. Suitable for all levels.
Blending strong Pilates and conditioning moves to strengthen and lengthen, this class allows your body to move in all planes of motions on the reformer bed. Expect balance challenges to activate and strengthen your core muscles, and flowing strength moves to challenge your entire body. Suitable for all levels.
Active pace & movements on the reformer, this class will get your heart rate up by challenging your entire body. With a focus on strength and larger dynamic movements, this class is energizing and challenging. Not suitable for beginners or clients with pre-existing conditions.**Please note: To get the most out of this class, you must be familiar with our beautiful Allegro 2 reformer beds. It is mandatory to attend an Align or Flow class prior to attending a Dynamic class.**
Pre-natal, Post-natal and Mums & Bubs Pilates
Focus on maintaining or building strength specifically for the changes in your body during and after pregnancy, our classes are designed for women to feel safe, supported and to feel strong and confident in their bodies and mind. For pregnant clients who are wanting to attend our general group classes, it is strongly advised that following your doctor’s approval and before starting classes, a 1:1 pre-natal session is organised with one of our experienced teachers.
A fluid flow throughout, feel guided and challenged in our Vinyasa ('movement with breath') Flow class. Strong connected postures focus on flexibility, alignment and strength while raising your heart rate in a low impact environment. Using breath awareness to support your movement, this flowing class will challenge and open your body and mind.
Restore & Release (Slow flow yin)
A complete release for your body and mind, our Restore & Release class is a beautiful slow flow and yin complement to your yang fitness routine. Floor poses are held for long enough to release tension and soften muscles to reset your individual balance. A gorgeous release with natural lighting and essential oils to heighten your experience.
Restore, Release & Reset (Slow flow yin & Meditation)
A decadent 80 minute complete release for your body and mind, our Restore, Release & Reset is a beautiful slow flow yin ending with a meditation flow to help you reset for the week. Floor poses are held for long enough to release your stress and soften muscles to reset your individual balance. A fluid guided meditation will complete your gorgeous release & reset with natural lighting and essential oils to heighten your experience.
